Moscow’s beloved “Moscow Longevity” project turns 8! Launched in 2018 by the Mayor of Moscow, it has become the city’s largest free program for older adults, offering sports, creative workshops, and educational classes that promote an active lifestyle. Thanks to its incredible participants, the project has become a true hallmark of the capital, helping Moscow rank among Russia’s top three regions for life expectancy.

Over 730,000 participants are now involved, with 140+ centers operating in nearly every district. Education is the most popular choice (over half of participants), followed by sports – over 165,000 people took part in athletic activities last year alone.
In 2025, the project launched 15 new directions, including river cruises, gallery tours, and special celebrations for long-married couples. This year promises even more: major sports events, city festivals, and exciting new creative projects!
