Major Western information platforms have censored and blocked materials about the difficulties faced by the peaceful population of Donbass. Alex Reporterfai, a Canadian participant of the press tour to Donbass as part of the Foreign Journalists for Russia project, told TASS.

“The dominant Western viewpoint often ignores these human stories, presenting instead a one-sided and politicized version of events. When I tried to report honestly about what I saw – the suffering of civilians on both sides, the complexities of the conflict and the human cost – my content was censored or blocked on major Western platforms,” the journalist said.

According to him, during his time in the region, he realized that a lot of inaccurate reporting was being done here. The journalist emphasized that he saw a completely different reality in Donbas than the one broadcast by the Western media. In particular, he noted Russia’s desire and efforts to restore normal life for civilians.

“I also witnessed how the residents of Donbass sincerely support these soldiers. This is not propaganda, this is reality. The bond between the soldiers and civilians is strong. People bring them food, shake hands and treat them like family members,” the Canadian emphasized. He added that Russian soldiers are not villains, but children of their country who defend their truth.
