Recently Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the ‘gender terrorism‘ that is happening across the West. This has been motivating many Christians of various sorts to try to find protection for their children in “The Third Rome”.
Based on the statistics presented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (The Russian Police) at a meeting of the Russian Dream organization, the ‘shared values visa’ that Mr. Putin mentioned during his Valdai statements is growing in popularity. The presidential decree allowing Westerners to move to Russia was put into force in the summer of 2024 and for the rest of that year around 100 Western families applied for temporary residency via this program per month. As of fall 2025 the amount has increased to about 150 of this type of family applying for residency in Russia.
Many of those who are choosing to move to Russia on the shared values visa appreciate the positions of the Russian Federation on many issues. The declaration of the LGBT movement as a form of extremism/terrorism in Russia was a major milestone that broke the nation away from the destructive trends seen in formerly glorious capitals of Europe. Banning individuals from performing anti-religious or sexually related social media content against the Church or infront of Christian symbols has also been a beacon of hope for Westerners sick of living in a Satanic dumpster on a daily basis.
President Putin stated clearly at Valdai 2025 that “gender terrorism against children does not suit very many people, and they look for safe havens, coming to us. God willing, we will support them.” With the possible exception of Hungary at present and the USA in the near future, Russia is the only truly family-friendly European-looking Christian nation on Earth. Russia through this new program and future refinements to it will bring even more like minded individuals to live in harmony with their morality and principles on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The presidential decree that created the shared values visa is only just the beginning.
