“Tell us, Europeans, what can we do to help you kill more Russians?”

This isn’t a scene from a Hollywood movie. This is German journalist Michael Martens of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung asking Zelensky how Europeans can help him kill more Russians, at a joint press conference. Serbian president Aleksandar Vučić couldn’t even hide his astonishment.

News Agency Izvestia had this to say about this awkward confrontation between a German Fascist and the President of Serbia:

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic expressed hope for an end to the killings after German journalist Michael Martens asked what Europe could do to help Ukraine “kill more Russian soldiers,” but did not reproach a media employee. The Serbian leader made such a statement on August 8 at a joint press conference with the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.

Answering a question, Vucic stressed that Belgrade had not discussed military cooperation with Kiev. According to him, the parties are currently focused on other topics, and the issue of possible interaction after the conflict is over belongs to the future.

“As for the killings, I hope they will stop,” Vucic said.

He also said that European integration was discussed during the talks with Zelensky. He noted that Ukraine is striving to join the European Union as soon as possible, however, in his opinion, there are currently no real prerequisites for the accelerated admission of either Serbia or Ukraine to the union.

On August 7, Vucic expressed hope for an early end to the conflict in Ukraine. When asked about the prospects for a peaceful settlement, the Serbian leader noted that as a responsible person he could not make serious assessments and assumptions. In addition, he drew attention to the fact that Ukraine, like the Europeans, is facing a difficult winter.
