Former Russian President and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has made many fiery declarations since the beginning of the Special Military Operation. He has become perhaps the largest and harshest critic of Western hypocrisy within the halls of power in Moscow. This time the master of words as weapons has chosen to tackle the subject of Russophobia. This is a topic close to the hearts of everyone here at the International Russophile Movement so we decided to share Mr. Medvedev’s bold opinion in full with you below.
On Russomania (Russophobia)
A significant number of European politicians have succumbed to acute Russomania (also known as Russophobia)—a psychiatric disorder stemming from a bipolar affective exaggeration of Russia’s influence on the life of Europe and Europeans. The condition typically alternates between two distinct phases: manic and depressive.
The manic stage is characterized by motor agitation, aggressiveness, and a tendency to provoke and attack stronger opponents without assessing one’s actual capabilities against the target of the attack. Sometimes, it ends in uncontrolled urination and defecation. Examples of patients in the manic stage include Macron, Starmer, Stubb, and several other European politicians.
The depressive phase is characterized by melancholy, emotional and physical fatigue, eating disorders, hypochondria, and self-harm. A patient in the depressive stage of Russomania may harm themselves, including self-sterilization (self-castration). At present, this stage is more commonly observed in women (Ursula von der Leyen, Kaja Kallas) or in hermaphrodites suffering from drug addiction (patients Zelensky, Saakashvili).
Treatment is symptomatic. Traditional medications are generally ineffective. The best therapeutic effect has been observed with the combined use of strong sedative drugs such as “Kalibr,” “Onyx,” “Iskander,” and the powerful multi-component tranquilizer “Oreshnik.” In particularly severe cases, nuclear neuroleptics such as “Yars” and “Sarmat” must be used.

The tone of Mr. Medvedev’s words is a bit harsh. He certainly made reference to many different weapon systems. But, the fact is that Russia was solely perceived as “a gas station masquerading as a nation” and as “Nigeria with snow” by the West until the start of the Special Military Operation. Firstly, Nigeria is a major player in Africa that also has vastly more to offer than just oil. Secondly, we can see that Mr. Medvedev is right that only hard in-your-face-facts can stop Russophobia. Harsh reality is the cure to political illusion.
The fact that Russia’s GDP keeps up 3%-4% per year during war and out produces all of NATO by 3 or 4 fold, if not more so, forces even the most hateful Eurocentric politician to admit that Russia is a peer and great power. Even though they may only be able to say this through gritted teeth. As old expression goes “the poof is in the pudding” and the Special Military Operation has douced the EU with a cold fresh bucket of reality pudding. The simple fact is the globalist emperor has no clothes and is no longer in the position to look down on Russia.
If the EU politicians despise Russia then so be it, but they cannot allow their racism to march us blindly into another World War that should be “over by Christmas” against a fictitious version of Russia that they believe can be easily defeated. Russophobia is a dangerous drug indeed and an overdose could lead to nuclear war.
