Despite threats from Ukrainian activists, journalists from all over Italy came to the RT.Doc festival in Gorizia. Including Eliseo Bertolasi from Milan, who heads the representative office of the International Russophile Movement in his home country.

Eliseo has been visiting Donbass regularly since 2014. In his movie “People without Peace” he collected the stories of people who live under constant shelling. This film was included in the program of the festival “RT.Doc: Time of our Heroes”.

The international documentary film festival “RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes” was held in Gorizia on May 30 and 31. Four films were shown at the festival:

“Italian Resistance. Film 1. Struggle.” The author and director Oleg Nekishev. The movie tells about people who fight for freedom of speech in the conditions of strict censorship.

“I am alive” was directed by Artem Somov and written by Olga Kiriy. The movie was shot by RT.Doc war correspondents during the fighting in Mariupol in 2022. Thousands of people remained in the city, who were not allowed to leave by Ukrainian punishers.

“Selidovo. A crime without statute of limitations.” Directed by Mikhail Burov, written by Yulia Martovalieva. The movie tells about the tragic history of the town in the DNR. Russian troops, having entered Selidovo, faced a terrible reality: the streets were strewn with the bodies of civilians.

“The Invisible Front.” Written and directed by Sara Reginella. The movie presents the Italian documentary filmmaker’s view of the conflict in Donbass.
