About seven thousand people attended the parade in Moscow on Family, Love, and Fidelity Day. Some are calling it a “heterosexual pride parade”. Let’s take a look at this interesting event and see what it is all about.

On July 8th, 2025 the All-Russian Family Parade took place in more than 100 cities across Russia on “Family, Love and Fidelity Day“. In Moscow, the parade was held at the VDNKh expo-park and was attended by around 7,000 people, according to RIA Novosti, the coordinator of the parade’s organizing committee and leader of the All-Russian Civic Movement “Sorok Sorokov” Andrei Kormukhin.

A National Event

The All-Russian Family Parade was organized in 100 cities across Russia and timed to coincide with Family, Love and Fidelity Day, which is celebrated on the day of remembrance of the heavenly patrons of the family, Peter and Fevronia of Murom. In Moscow, the parade took place in VDNKh Park under the slogan “Russia — a family of families.”

“The parade took place in more than 100 cities across the country. About 7,000 people took part in the parade in Moscow, compared to 5,000 last year,” Kormukhin said.

For the participants of the march, among whom there were many children, master classes on family drawing, relay races, and traditional Russian games such as spinning tops, biryulki, and babki were organized. Security was provided by police officers, and an ambulance was on duty, according to a RIA Novosti correspondent.

The parade followed a route from the Northern Loop to the area in front of Pavilion No. 57, where the Russia – My History Historical Park is located. An award ceremony for large families was held on the stage opposite the pavilion.

“The Lord said to us: ‘Be fruitful and multiply, populate the earth, fill the earth and rule over it’. Be fruitful means create families, because you cannot be fruitful outside of a family. Multiply means that a family should have many children. If you have few children, you are not multiplying (not reproducing – ed.). Populate the earth. And only after that did the Lord tell us that you will possess the earth. For centuries, our people listened to God: they multiplied, created strong families, multi-generational, large families, settled one-sixth of the land, and came to possess it… And now we are dying out. We must understand that if we do not listen to God, we will die out,” Kormukhin said, addressing the parade participants.

“On this holiday—Family, Love, and Fidelity Day—people did not gather because they were ordered to, but because they love their families, their parents, children, and grandparents. Thank God for everything! Congratulations to everyone on the holiday!” Kormukhin concluded.

The All-Russian Family Parade was organized by the All-Russian Public Movement “Family,” with co-organizers including the All-Russian Public Movement “Healthy Fatherland,” the Russian Boxing Federation, the All-Russian Movement “Sorok Sorokov,” and the National Program “In the Family Circle.”

According to the organizers, the goals of the All-Russian Family Parade include forming beliefs about the importance and role of the family in a person’s life, instilling in the younger generation a sense of love and respect for their parents, pride in their family, and strengthening traditional values.
