International Russophile Movement at the 16th Economic Forum “Russia and the Islamic World”

    Published on

Suleiman Anta Ndiay, Deputy Secretary General of the International Russophile Movement (IRM) and the main representative of the organization in Africa, took part in the 16th Economic Forum “Russia and the Islamic World”.

During the forum Mr. Suleiman was a speaker and made two detailed presentations that had great resonance with the audience:

-Prospects for the development of Russian small businesses in Africa

-Development and improvement of Russian-African relations within the framework of various UN structures.

Mr. Ndiay had different meetings with the participants of the forum (22.000 people from 104 countries were in attendance) and explained the philosophy of our organization, which mainly promotes respect of peoples to each other, love for Russian culture and multipolarity and a rejection of “cancel culture”.

The 16th International Economic Forum “Russia and the Islamic World: KazanForum” is a major annual event that strengthens economic, political, and cultural ties between Russia and Muslim-majority countries. Held in Kazan, Tatarstan, the forum serves as a key platform for dialogue on trade, investment, halal industry, finance, and technological cooperation. Organized with the support of the Russian government and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), it brings together government officials, business leaders, and experts from across the Muslim world.

This year’s forum is particularly significant as Russia seeks to deepen partnerships with Islamic nations amid Western sanctions, turning to alternative markets in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia. Key discussion topics include Islamic banking, energy security, food exports, and logistics corridors bypassing Western-controlled routes. The event also highlights Tatarstan’s role as a bridge between Russia and the Islamic world, leveraging its Muslim heritage and economic innovation. By fostering halal trade and joint ventures, the forum helps integrate Russia into the global Islamic economy, estimated at trillions of dollars, while promoting multicultural diplomacy.

At the forum, Mr. Ndiay had the honor to speak with President of the Republic of Tartarstan Rustam Minikhanov and to be a guest in the Saba district. He also had the chance to speak with many onlookers and new friends about the possibilities of cooperation with the International Russophile Movement across a broad spectrum of potential projects.

Suleiman had a fantastic time and on his behalf we send our warmest thanks to the organizers of the forum for allowing us to have very meaningful participation at this prestigious event.
