On the day of the 85th anniversary of the Nazi Germany’s invasion of the Soviet Union, the International Russophile Movement expresses its deepest respect for the millions of victims who made the greatest sacrifice in the fight against Nazism and Fascism.
The feat of resistance and willpower of the peoples of Russia and the whole of the Soviet Union will forever remain one of the most striking examples of courage, dedication and protection of freedom in the history of mankind.

The memory of June 22, 1941 obliges us never to forget the consequences of hatred, racism, chauvinism and ideologies that divide people into superior and inferior. Therefore, it is the duty of all responsible peoples and States to resist any attempts to rehabilitate Nazism, fascism and their modern manifestations.
The international Russophile Movement expresses the hope that Russia will never again be unprepared for the threat of Nazism, and the world community will learn from the tragic events of the 20th century. Only by working together for truth, historical memory and peace will we be able to prevent the recurrence of the evil that swept Europe and the whole world nine decades ago.
-Ivan B. Kostic,
Secretary General of the International Russophile Movement
