Madness: German Officials ban Russian Ambassador from celebrating Victory Day

    Published on

In Europe praised international and diplomatic norms mean nothing when the other side is “one of the bad guys”. Russia as of late, finds itself eternally stuck in this role and thus on the bad end of endless Russophobic campaigns. The rewriting of or simply conscious ignoring of the history of WWII and Nazi Germany is one such campaign. The situation around celebrating Victory Day in the West gets worse-and-worse every year. In fact, there is some big Russophobia news from former 3rd Reich.

Maria Zakharova commented on Germany’s statements on Victory Day celebrations and possible restrictions for the Russian ambassador.

“The German Foreign Ministry, by deciding to impose restrictions on Russian citizens in the framework of Victory Day celebrations, has demonstrated its inability to overcome Russophobic sentiments and signs of neo-Nazism.” This was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova in an interview with Izvestia on April 23rd, 2025.

“The actions of the FRG Foreign Ministry exposed their true nature, demonstrating the ugliness of Russophobia and showing signs of Nazism,” she stressed.

Earlier in the day it became known that the authorities of the state of Brandenburg may ban the Russian ambassador to Germany, Sergei Nechaev, from attending an event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the defeat of Nazi Germany.
