Channel One war correspondent Anna Prokofieva died in Belgorod region. Telegram channel “Journalist | Z |” Cameraman Dmitry Volkov, who was accompanying her, was also wounded.
MOSCOW, March 26. /Anna Prokofyeva, a war correspondent of Channel One, has been killed while performing her professional duty in the Belgorod Region, while cameraman Dmitry Volkov, who was accompanying her, was also wounded. This was reported to TASS in the press service of Channel One.

“In the performance of professional duty, military correspondent for Channel One Anna Prokofyeva has died. It happened in the Belgorod Region on the border with Ukraine, where the crew of Channel One employees was impacted by the detonation of an enemy mine. The cameraman Dmitry Volkov, who was with Anna, was wounded,” the TASS press service said.

Prokofieva was 35 years old. She graduated from People’s Friendship University of Russia with a degree in journalism and was fluent in Spanish. She worked in the Spanish editorial office of the Rossiya Segodnya news and media agency. She had been at Channel One since 2023, reporting from the within the zone of the Special Military Operation.
Anna will be missed by her family and coworkers and died as a true hero of Russia and the profession of journalism.
