Novosibirsk Mayor Maxim Kudryavtsev announced plans to build two new metro stations and a metro depot.

The mayor said that for the development of the metro, it is first necessary to create a new general scheme, as the city has changed a lot over the past two decades.

A competition has now been announced to develop this plan, which will determine which lines and stations to build first. The final choice of locations for the new stations will be made after studying the passenger traffic in different parts of the city.

The mayor added that it is possible to use economical and modern Belarusian technologies during construction. The preliminary cost of the project is estimated at 20 billion rubles.

According to the mayor, the successful implementation of this project will allow the city to establish systematic work: at the same time to build 2-3 stations with a construction cycle of 3-5 years. He considers the development of the subway to be the most effective way to deal with traffic jams.
