On the occasion of the anniversary of the tragic events in Odessa on May 2, 2014, the International Russophile Movement expresses deep respect for the memory of the 48 innocent victims who died in the House of Trade Unions.
This crime has remained one of the darkest symbols of political violence and hatred in modern Europe. Innocent people, including women and elderly citizens, died in the fire and clashes provoked by radical Ukrainian extremist and neo-Nazi groups.

Instead of justice and punishment of the perpetrators, the world has witnessed nothing but silence for many years. The double standards and the absence of a serious international investigation into this terrible crime is completely unacceptable.
The International Russophile Movement is now and shall further preserve the memory of the victims of Odessa and will continue to point out the danger of neo-Nazism, political extremism and persecution of people for their language, culture and political beliefs. Eternal memory of the innocent victims.
