On May 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., a solemn wreath—laying ceremony was held at the Central Cemetery of Soviet Heroes in the Romanian capital in memory of the Heroes who gave their lives for the liberation of Europe from the horrors of Nazism.

In the silence of this place of memory, filled with deep emotions, words of gratitude and respect were expressed for those who went through the hardest trials of the war and paid with their own lives for the Victory over fascism, for peace and freedom of future generations.

Every flower laid and every minute of silence became a symbol of eternal memory of the courage, dedication and heroism of those who did not return home, but remained forever in the history and hearts of people.
