Earlier, TASS reported that defender Alexander Nikishin, striker Andrei Svechnikov and goalkeeper Pyotr Kochetkov won the Stanley Cup with Carolina.

The players hung the Russian flag on the bus on which the team travels through the city of Raleigh (North Carolina, USA), where the team is based.
