Mali celebrated on May 9 with a solemn reception at the Russian Embassy with the representation of Ambassador I.A. Gromyko and the delegate Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, Divisional General O. Diarra, and in the presence of representatives of diplomatic missions, military chiefs, public figures and, of course, Russophiles.
After the anthems of the Republic of Mali and the Russian Federation were played, the Ambassador and the Minister made speeches about the war and the contribution of our two friendly states to preserving peace against Nazism, terrorism and for a multipolar world.
The school children brilliantly performed songs about the war and the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and danced a waltz.

The delicious buffet that was layed out for the event was dedicated to this most important day in world history.
