Today in Dakar we celebrated Victory Day, a moment of deep emotion, with a very touching speech by the Russian Ambassador, Dmitry Kurakov.
The ceremony, organized by the Embassy in cooperation with the Coordinating Council of Russian Organizations in Senegal, was attended by the International Russophile Movement, MDR. On behalf of the movement, we delivered a speech in which we emphasized the great importance of this day in the hearts of all Russophiles.
Our movement invites everyone to a conference on May 16 on the role of the Soviet army and the Senegalese riflemen in defeating the Nazis. It will be held at the El Haj Mbai Sarr Cultural Center in Hann.
