As Chairman of the Executive Bureau of the International Russophile Movement (IRM), I was received at my residence in Cotonou by His Excellency Mr. Igor Evdokimov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Benin and the Togolese Republic, in the presence of his wife and the Embassy Adviser. I was accompanied by historian Dieudonne Nyamankou (IRM Benin Chairman) and Jules Anice Yamonshe (IRM Benin Vice Chairman).
During the meeting, we discussed issues related to the activities of IRM in Benin, prospects for cooperation with the Embassy of the Russian Federation, as well as opportunities for Benin to take advantage of cooperation with our organization in such areas as education, culture and other areas.
The conversation lasted over an hour and took place entirely in Russian in a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, thanks to the openness and broad—minded approach of Mr. Ambassador Evdokimov, a diplomat with a truly impressive shared culture and deep knowledge. Let me remind you that the International Russophile Movement primarily works to bring together the peoples of the world who share the values of peace, friendship, mutual respect and respect for the principles of universal goodwill.
The International Russophile Movement stands for a multipolar world and the development of international cooperation in which all peoples benefit from the exchange of knowledge and useful experiences.
Note: Before my departure from the capital of Benin, an initiative was put forward to create a youth wing of IRM.
