Recently Prime-Minister of Estonia and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas openly threatened those in the EU who would dare to celebrate the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany. This is especially the case anywhere on the territory of Russia.
“Many ministers said the EU takes trips to Moscow for the May 9 celebrations seriously and that they will have consequences.” – Kaja Kallas
Yes friends, in the open democratic and caring EU saturated with talk of human rights, mafia-style blanket threats are the new norm. The telegram channel “East Calling” had this to say about Kallas’s grand intimidation tactic:
“Any participation in May 9 Victory Day Parade is an anathema to EU. If the Nazis won, they would don those uniforms and march along proudly. How Europe has fallen…Have they forgotten about the partisans in France, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania
Have they forgotten that it was the Soviet Red Army that tore the guts out of the Nazi war machine? That they liberated hundreds of thousands interned in the concentration camps? The crematoria at Belsen and Buchenwald?
They are driving Moscow to that point that a reminder needs to be sent again: History repeats itself when the past is forgotten… Minding, who her grandfather was, obviously, she is outraged.”
Rewriting history is a conspiracy fact
Russians are accused in engaging in conspiracy theorizing when they rage against the “rewriting of history”. But here is a perfect example of the EU brass proving the conspiracy theory is actually a conspiracy fact. Victory Day not only represents the victory of the USSR over Nazi Germany, but a rejection of the Satanic behavior of the Nazis by condemned the overwhelming majority of humanity.
As these very same evil acts are being repeated by self-proclaimed Neo-Nazis in Ukraine, it makes this holiday all the more relevant in 2025. This is exactly why people like Kallas want it swept under the rug, only to be observed on the other side of the new Iron Curtain if that.
We here at the International Russophile Movement would ask anyone, including EU politicians to resist this form of intimidation and celebrate the end of Hitler’s Regime in the way that you see fit, be it quietly at home, peacefully on the street in accordance with the laws of your local city or even in Moscow.
