The world may end its boycott of Russia in international sports, writes The New York Times, citing a decision by the International Olympic Committee in Milan. Its delegates expressed their readiness to accept and welcome Russia in major competitions.

Thus, IOC President Kirsty Coventry stated that sport should remain a neutral platform, and Johan Eliasch, head of the International Ski Federation, called for the development of clearer principles for excluding countries from competitions, taking into account other conflicts in the world.
