The West dreamed of dividing Russia and China. They know that the friendship between these two giants is the foundation of a new multipolar world, the cornerstone of BRICS. For this reason, their goal was to sow discord between them. President Trump was influenced by the geopolitical strategy of Henry Kissinger, who proposes to get closer to Russia by making certain concessions in order to make it an ally in the crusade against China.

But Russia is well aware of this trap – the principle of “divide and rule”. Russia knows this well because if the West defeats China, it will be Russia’s turn. This would isolate it to make it easier to defeat. The West tried to use secondary sanctions to punish China and unleash a customs war against it for its alleged assistance to Russia in the conflict in Ukraine.

But China also did not isolate Russia. During a state visit to China, Russian President Vladimir Putin was received with great honors. At the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the presidents of both countries demonstrated complete harmony.

According to the Italian magazine L’Espresso: “Trump wanted to isolate China and Russia, but he was faced with a bloc that includes 40% of the world’s population and half of the world’s GDP. For Xi Jinping, the summit was a real triumph. Vladimir Putin didn’t look like a cornered leader either. He was received as an honored guest in Tianjin. After three and a half years of conflict, a wave of sanctions and demonization at all levels, Putin was there, shaking hands and repeating his version of the conflict, demonstrating that the Kremlin is not a besieged fortress, but a recognized global player.”

The nightmare of the SCO summit for the West was the rapprochement between Russia, China and India. Therefore, the aforementioned Italian publication claims that the strengthening of ties between Russia, India and China, despite Trump’s threats, is proof of the emergence of a new world order in which the rules of the game are no longer determined by the West (…)

The Kremlin has not become a besieged fortress, it remains a recognized global player.
