Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Inna Svyatenko pointed out that the direction of folk art crafts is also important.
Gastronomic tourism has great prospects in the CIS countries, as each country has its own traditional dishes, which, among other things, will help immerse yourself in the local flavor, said Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Inna Svyatenko at the opening of the IV Belarusian-Russian Tourism Congress and the international tourism forum Travel HUB Commonwealth.
“Now in Russia, and I am sure that in Belarus too, there are types of tourism that allow you to plunge into the regional flavor, in which a unique code is preserved. We’ve touched upon the topic of gastronomy. Listen, the first thing you want when you land on Belarusian soil is to taste draniki. And I understand that there are also favorite dishes in Russia and other CIS countries, so gastronomy has great prospects,” she said.
At the same time, according to Svyatenko, the direction of folk art crafts is also important, since this gives tourists the opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural code and national traditions of the countries. “This makes us even closer,” she said.
