On May 6, 2026 the Immortal Regiment marched in front of the Russian Embassy in Nicosia, Cyprus.

On May 4, in accordance with the celebrations of the upcoming Great Victory Day in general, Russia’s loyal friends in Cyprus decorated the fence of the Russian Embassy with 81 flags in honor of the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory. They hung 41 Victory Banners and 40 flags of the Russian Federation. The flags will be on the fence until the beginning of next week.

Several hundred people took part in the March. Russians, Cypriots and Russian speakers from the CIS countries. In addition to portraits of their heroes, people held flags of Victory, the Russian Federation, Cyprus and with the face of Christ. Three long flags were held at the same time. The Flag of Victory was 30m long, St. George’s Ribbon was 40m and the Flag of the Russian Federation was 50M.

At the head of the march were loyal friends of Russia, holding a banner with the slogan “Russia is not our enemy” in three languages. An orchestra from Nizhny Novgorod performed patriotic songs before, during and after the March.

The main March of the Immortal Regiment is being held in Limassol, where several thousand people are expected to take part. On May 9th across cyprus there will be events in all cities, where, in addition to laying flowers and wreaths at the monuments, there will be car rallies, which will then be combined into one common convoy that will pass along the coastal road of Limassol. There, near the sea, in addition to the Immortal Regiment Procession, there will be a big concert where our Russian folk song ensemble “Turquoise” will also perform. Additionally there will be a soldier’s porridge ration for all, 100g, a fair and, at the end, fireworks.
