Representatives of the American administration intend to visit Russia. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna told TASS about this.

According to the Republican, the lawmakers’ visit is expected in the fall or winter, and government officials who are not elected officials will also travel to Russia with them.

Luna did not disclose the specific names of the trip participants. She also suggested that a joint statement by the heads of the foreign policy departments of the two countries – Sergey Lavrov and Marco Rubio – might follow soon. However, she did not provide any details.

Earlier, the media reported that US presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the son‑in‑law of the American leader, may visit Moscow in the near future. Discussions about a possible visit have been going on for quite some time. According to journalists, they are talking about an imminent visit.

Duma International Affairs Committee Chairman Sergey Lavrentyev also reported that the countries have begun gradually restoring dialogue across several areas. He noted that Russia is ready for negotiations, but will not wait for gifts from the US and will resolve SVO tasks based on its own interests.
