President Donald Trump, who is no stranger to hype, announced that he would make a major speech to congress full of big revelations Tuesday night March 4th, 2025. This comes after the beginnings of negotiations with Russia and the debacle at the White House with Zelensky. Many assumed there would be a major plan unveiled in this regard, a plan that would actually end the war, throw “Zel” under the bus, or something of the like.
The conflict in Ukraine was probably the most central issue but none of Trump’s words were earth shaking. There was no “grand reveal” of some super plan. It was more of a reiteration of the big plans and big words that Trump has been saying since taking office.
Ending the “senseless” war in Ukraine
The President has been very consistent in his desire to end the war, and even more so, to drag the USA out of it while getting some of its money back. The conflict has been quite a hefty investment and after the blowout verbal fight with Zelensky at the White House, the much praised “Rare Earth Mineral Deal” was not signed. But Trump makes it seem as though the unofficial leader of Ukraine has had a change of heart and the deal will go through despite the spat. This would be enough for the USA to be bought out of the war and walk away with something. We cannot forget that for many, especially Democrats, there was a lot that was gained in Ukraine from the Maidan Revolution and Trump just pulling America out at a complete loss could have dire consequences.
Thankfully ending the war and making at least decent relations with Russia seems to be foreign policy priority #1 for Mr. Trump and we hope he does not change his mind.

American expansion to Greenland, Panama and beyond!
Trump believes the Panama Canal was “built by Americans for Americans” and reiterated his desire to bring it back under full US control. He also stated that America needs to take control over Greenland and will secure it “one way or the other,” despite Denmarks’s rejection of Trump’s previous offer to purchase the land.
The Border
The U.S. border with Mexico has been a major issue for Trump even during his 2016 campaign. This continues to be a major problem for the USA and it looks like Trump may just be willing to finally use the U.S. military “at home”, rather than fighting wars abroad, to fix it. In terms of the Mexican drug cartels who are a key player in keeping the border perforated, Trump said “The cartels are waging a war on America, and it’s time for America to wage a war on the cartels, which we are doing,”
No more “Wokeness”
The American President feels neither shame nor remorse for giving transsexuals the boot from the armed services and other positions. He wants to fully ban any form of sex change for minors and said “the tyranny of so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion policies,” stating that “our country will be woke no longer.” This is interesting, but just how Trump plans to unify a very diverse America remains unclear, however he has surely thought of it and is aware of the importance of getting everyone “on the same page”.
Musk to conquer Mars
Trump rightly praised the work of Elon Musk and DOGE to expose the horrific corruption that has been eating away at America for decades. Shedding light onto the evil practices of USAID and the NED have been a major blow to Trump’s political enemies. After all these successes by Musk and friends Trump feels confidence that “We are going to lead humanity into space and plant the American flag on the planet Mars and even far beyond.” Hopefully DOGE will not have to investigate Musk himself for the colossal expenditures needed to put men on Mars.
So what was the point of this display?
It would seem that Donald Trump is self-aware enough to know that many of his big moves could seem like chaos. His enemies have been calling him a Hitlerian dictator type of person even before his first presidency. It would seem that he is trying to package many of his big surprising moves into a cohesive foreign policy “outlook”.
He essentially told the public what he has been doing since taking the White House and why he is doing it along with a little bit of “motivational speaking” to get even more public support. Trump promised revelations and well we didn’t get any but we did get was a comprehensive explanation of the President’s actions and the goals he is working towards.
