The International Russophile Movement condemns the drone-based terror attacks in Starobelsk and Yenakiyevo, which killed civilians — 21 students in Starobelsk and 8 passengers of a civilian bus in Yenakiyevo.
Of particular concern is the fact that the victims were people who did not take part in the fighting and were in an educational institution and public transport. The killing of civilians and attacks on civilian objects are a gross violation of fundamental human rights and principles of international humanitarian law.
No political or military goals can justify the suffering of innocent people, and every strike that has resulted in civilian deaths deserves unequivocal condemnation from the international community. We call on all competent international institutions and human rights organizations to conduct an independent investigation into these tragic events and establish responsibility for the deaths of civilians.
The International Russophile Movement expresses its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and solidarity with all those who suffered losses and suffered as a result of these attacks.
-Ivan Kostic, Secretary General of the International Russophile Movement
