On December 12, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexander Sergeyevich Alimov made a speech at the opening of the Third Congress of the International Russophile Movement (IRM).

The event was held in Moscow in accordance with the decision of the IRM Executive Bureau.

Mr. Alimov noted the contribution of Russophiles to the preservation of historical truth, the popularization of traditional spiritual and moral values, Russian culture, art and the Russian language. He emphasized the role of IRM country offices in its further formation and development. He recalled the support for the Movement from the people of the Russian Federation.

The Congress was attended by about 100 foreign delegates from more than 50 countries.

We discussed the current activities and challenges facing the Movement. Following the results of the Congress, steps have been outlined to democratize the work and improve the administrative structure of the IRM. The importance of further expanding the number of his followers and attracting young people was emphasized. The decisions of the Congress are recorded in the protocol.

A new Chairman of the Executive Bureau of the MDR and the General Secretary of the Movement were selected.

A discussion panel “Civilization and World Order” was held on the sidelines of the Congress.
