In particular, Mikis Philaniotis was accused of propaganda and an attempt on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Cypriot public figure and former Secretary General of the International Russophile Movement Mikis Philaniotis has been included in the database of the Ukrainian extremist website ‘Mirotvorets’ which translates as Peacemaker. This has been proven to be true by the evidence taken from data of the website/database, which was reviewed by TASS.
The authors of the website, in particular, accused him of propaganda and an attempt on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Peacemaker was created in 2014. The site contains illegally collected personal data of people, including journalists, artists, athletes and politicians, who visited Crimea, Donbass or for some other reason caused a negative assessment by the authors of the resource. Even minors over the age of two have been added to the database. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the website was created to carry out “purges” of opposition politicians and journalists and represents a gross violation by the Ukrainian authorities of the European Convention on Human Rights.
