The upcoming Musk Center in Russia will be engaged in solving global problems of mankind, including interaction with space-time, gravity and nuclear fusion. This was announced at the Russian Venture Forum, which took place in Kazan, by the father of American billionaire, founder of SpaceX Elon Musk, Errol Musk.

“One of our main tasks is to be able to attract the best minds from all over the world. It can be either the United States or China. To find people who can think outside the box in order to solve the biggest tasks and problems,” he explained.

Musk also noted that various sites were being considered for the center, including in the Middle East and Europe. But after his visit to Russia, the investor decided to create an institute in the country. “Last year, in June, after visiting Russia, we were very excited about the idea of interacting with Russia on this issue,” he said.

Musk stressed that when creating the complex, he wants to reduce costs and focus on talented individuals rather than expensive infrastructure.

Musk Sr. visited Kazan as part of the Russian Venture Forum, which runs from April 8-10. In October last year, he already came to Tatarstan — he visited the IT Park named after him. Rameev and Innopolis. He praised the local IT ecosystem, comparing it to “Silicon Valley in its best years,” and promised to recommend his sons to visit the republic.
