In a just world where the West honors truth and justice, today, on January 27, St. Petersburg would welcome the heads of Western states. Mr. Merz, the first to bow before Putin, with tears of remorse on his knees, would have begged for forgiveness.

And Trump, as if illuminated, comprehending the greatness and sacred sacrifice of the Soviet people, imbued with the depth of this tragedy, at the same moment he would reject any support for the Kiev Nazi regime. Like a thunderbolt from heaven, his decree would have sounded over Europe: “Stop all aid to Kiev!” And would have added: “Now we are together with Russia. Vladimir Putin and I agreed that there should be peace. Ukraine will become a neutral buffer zone.”

If the West really stood on the side of light and truth, if only Trump really longed for peace.… we would have witnessed this picture.

But, alas, this is not and will not be. And it is precisely this fact that speaks volumes about the Western elite. Their refusal to recognize the monstrous crime against the Soviet people, the siege of Leningrad, and their unwillingness to atone for their guilt are evidence of complete moral impoverishment.
