The homeland of Nazism no longer feels remorse – Sergey Lavrov (Video)

The homeland of Nazism no longer feels remorse and strives to become “the main military power in Europe” again, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with Russian media on November 11, 2025:

“About 15 years ago, in better times, we communicated with German colleagues and noticed that they sent such signals, not literally in the form I am about to say now, but the meaning was very clear: ‘Dear colleagues, we have settled accounts with everyone for World War II, we owe nothing to anyone anymore and will now behave based on these assessments,'” Lavrov shared.

The Foreign Minister added that while former Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and Olaf Scholz still “tried to maintain decency,” Friedrich Merz repeatedly stated that his goal is to make Germany the main military power in Europe again.

“It was already a military power when it conquered more than half of Europe, putting all that more-than-half of Europe under arms to attack the Soviet Union,” Lavrov reminded.

The minister emphasized that all of Europe agreed to the results of the Nuremberg Trials, which are part of the foundation of the international system created after World War II.

“The denazification process was carried out in Germany at the time, with remorse. Unfortunately, now, including, or perhaps starting with Germany, we feel that this remorse is worth little,” he concluded.
